Employment History

Freelance (June 2009 - Present) - Web Developer

Involved with all stages of the system life cycle from speaking to clients to establish requirements, designing data structure and website layout through to creating and publishing the finished design and carrying out maintenance when required. Websites range from basic designs to large LAMP systems. Other tasks include server administration, web server migration, website rebranding and exporting systems into other programming languages.

CNG Foodservice Equipment Ltd (August 2006 - Present) - Designer

Designing commercial kitchens and bars with AutoCAD using own initiative with support from sales/project staff. Other duties include IT support, general administration and stock management as required.


Alan Gibson Photographic (June 2005 - December 2005) - Videographer/Assistant

Using own direction to create videos at various events such as weddings. Assisting the photographer, speaking to and directing the public, setting up projector system.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, Dreamweaver), Visual Studio and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of software engineering, object orientation, image processing, distributed systems and artificial intelligence techniques. Competent with using resources such as the Internet to research a given subject.


Full UK driving license since 2007.


Interests

My interests include web development, photography, films, video games and travel. I have also been involved with running local Live Action Role Play clubs, working as part of a team to organise and run a number of events throughout the year. I am also responsible for creating and maintaining various websites and moderating online chat forums.
